Brussels -

We weren’t here for too long but this place BEAUTIFUL. We had only arrived here in the afternoon, about 2pm. We would definitely like to come back here and explore a bit more. We were mainly here as a stop over between Countries, as well as wanting to adding in a cheeky day trip to Luxembourg. But just because we were only here for a short time doesn't mean we weren't gonna see as much of Brussels as we could. But first, we needed to visit a laundromat and catch up on some washing.

Ahh... We are reunited with the LIME Scooters once again. These electric scooters are everywhere. They still are the greatest thing we could have found, they are so much fun and easy to use. Plus it’s a great way of getting around if you don't want to walk or be stuck in a Bus/Taxi.

You have to download the app to unlock the scooter and be able to pay for them. The app will tell show you a map of where all the scooters are and how much battery have. It will also tell you of the areas where you are not allowed to ride the scooter. This will be marked RED on the map, make sure you follow the rules and don't enter the red areas.

Once we had finished sitting around the laundromat waiting for our washing, we scooted straight for the city.

First stop - The Grand Place of Brussels – absolutely Beautiful! We had visited during Christmas time where there was an extravagant Christmas tree in the middle of the buildings. It was light up so bright!

While we were there we were pleasantly surprised by a light show that was displayed over the buildings surrounding the Christmas tree with some music to go with it.

The Grand Place had some nice Christmas markets around which sold little souvenirs and yummy food.

We had spent the rest of the night looking at a few sights. We had visited the Manneken Pis, which is a 61cm Fountain sculpture. Kind of underwhelming – but it sure does round-up a few tourists.

NEXT DAY – Day trip to Luxembourg

A little about Luxembourg – It's just a little land locked Country, in fact it's the 28th smallest Country in the world by area. But interestingly it is also the second richest country in the world.

This was a 3 hour train ride from Brussels, which we were also able to use our Eurail Pass for this trip. You are able to reserve seats for a fee. We didn’t and it was fine for us seats.

We do have a blog out with all our tips and advise about the eurail pass if you'd like to check that out!

We didn’t do anything too crazy in Luxembourg, it was just a super interesting place to visit. Such a cute city with beautiful views and Christmas markets.

So that is how we had spent most of our time, looking around the markets and eat food. Pretty sure this was the country we had walked the most. sure did sleep well this night!

After our day we had caught a train back to Brussels to spend the night there.

Hope you enjoyed reading about what we had done with our time in Brussels :)
